Born June 1, 1905 in Lovell, Wyoming, to John Henry and Eliza Elenor Asay Kocherhans. Married Inez Verona Johnson, June 1, 1926, in Lovell, Wyoming. She died October 23, 1988. Active member LDS Church, holding the office of HIgh Priest, Pleasant Grove 12th Ward. Had served as Bishop and member of stake high council while living in Lovell, Wyoming. Had served two missions with his wife. Had been a cattle rancher in Wyoming and an insurance agent while living in Mesa, Arizona.Survived by five sons and a daughter, John Rex Kocherhans and Mrs. Marion D. (Renee) Ladd, both of Provo; C. Jay Kocherhans, Mesa, Arizona; Arthur J. Kocherhans, Fullerton, California; Phillip J. Kocherhans, West Valley City; Gilbert J. Kocherhans, Spokane, Washington; 40 grandchildren; 112 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Henry A. Kocherhans, Salt Lake City; Leo Kocherhans, Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Services Tuesday, 1 p.m., Pleasant Grove 12th Ward, 275 East 500 South, where friends may call one hour prior to service. Burial Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, under the direction of Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove.
