Survived by: daughter, Chiri Miller, Cheney; sons, Charles M. Jeffries, Derby, Bryce T. Jeffries, Ponca City, OK, and Alan B. Jeffries, Wichita: 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren. Velma is also survived by sisters, Vera Riggs, Conway Springs, Merle Mott, Milan, IL and Onita Wilson, Frederick, OK. Services: Tuesday, April 12, 2005, 10 a.m., Cheney United Methodist Church. Interment: Cheney Pioneer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cheney United Methodist Church (406 W. 3rd Ave, Cheney, KS 67025) or Cheney Golden Age Home, Cheney, KS. Wulf-Ast Mortuary, Garden Plain.
