Army Sgt Williams was assigned to the 27th Infantry, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia. Williams was killed when a taxi carrying a car bomb drove up to an Army checkpoint in central Iraq (suicide bomber). Eugene attended Highland High School where he played football. He was a good student and a dedicated and loyal football player. The last letter his family received from him was on the day he was killed. In the letter he said all he wanted was a little home cooking. He was very optimistic and couldn't wait to come home so he could cook for his family. Eugene had a love for soulful R&B music and planned to finish a demo tape showcasing his singing. The last letter to his wife said he wouldn't be able to call for a while but that he was mailing letters to his girls. He leaves behind his wife, Brandy, 3-year-old daughter, and was expecting a second child in June.
