Army Sgt Williams was assigned to the 27th Infantry, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia. Williams was killed when a taxi carrying a car bomb drove up to an Army checkpoint in central Iraq (suicide bomber). Eugene attended Highland High School where he played football. He was a good student and a dedicated and loyal football player. The last letter his family received from him was on the day he was killed.
