Harley Moore Cutchens, 68, of Piedmont, Ala. passed away March 27, 2013. Mr. Cutchens was a 1962 graduate of Emma Sansom High School. He was a member of the award-winning band in 1959 that earned Gadsden "The City of Champions" nickname. He served in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force. He was a Gadsden police officer for 27 years. He was preceded in death by parents, Harley Quitman and Ann Marie Moore Cutchens; his sister, Charlotte Cutchens Monday; brother, James Richard Cutchens. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Cutchens; daughters, Sandy Cutchens and Erin Higgins; son, Nicholas Cutchens; grandchildren; sister, Paula Ragan; nieces and nephews.
