children, two having preceded Mother in death namely Mrs. Roxie Newell died April 17, 1913; Mrs. Icey Newell died January 21, [1927], the two living are Mrs. Lola Smith, of Cincinatti,Iowa, and Aljo Ranes or Unionville. She is mourned in death by her aged husband, two children, 16 grandchildren, and one great great grandchild,
three brothers, two sisters, many other relatives and a large number of friends will miss her. She confessed her faith in Christ 88 years ago [and]united with the Church at the Douglas school house. Later in the year 1918 she with her husband united with the Christian church here in Unionville ready to do all in her power for the needy exemplifying those christian graces by her love for others. Funeral service was held at the Christian church Sunday, March 24, at 2:30, conducted by the pastor, attended by a large congregation of loved ones and friends. Body was laid to rest in Unionville cemetery.
