Conduct Last Rites for Wolf Point Man
Wolf Point, Sept. 6--Funeral services were conducted at the Presbyterian church here Saturday for Cleveland M. Rankin, who died at the Veteran's hospital in Portland, Ore., Sept. 1, after a lingering illness. A Masonic service was held at the Wolf Point cemetery.
Rankin was born Nov. 10, 1888 (sic.), at McLeansboro, Ill. In 1915 he came to Montana and took up a homestead about 20 miles south of Oswego, where he resided until the time of his death. He was married to Miss Sadie Roger on May 25, 1932, at Glasgow.
He was a veteran of World War I and served overseas. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Little Falls, Minn., and of the American Legion of Wolf Point.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Sadie Rankin; two sisters, Miss Laura Rankin of Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Iva Schurr of Palmer, Kan.; three brothers, Walter of Essex, Mo., Ed of Boise, Idaho, and Charles of Oswego.
