Mrs. Hinton passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013. Mrs. Hinton was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church. Mrs. Hinton was a beautician and instructor, and a caregiver. Mrs. Hinton is preceded in death by her first husband, Fales Spikes; her second husband, Edwin O. Hinton; parents, Gus Tharpe and Laura Annie Tharpe; daughter, Ester Johnson; grandson, Shaye Braddock; and sisters, Dorothy Middlebrooks and Darlene Hale.
Mrs. Hinton is survived by a daughter, Annie Cook and husband Ken of Collinston, LA; a son, Charles Spikes and wife Linda of West Monroe, LA; a sister, Lodie Craig of Collinston, LA; grandkids, Elizabeth Hoskins and husband Jason of Collinston, LA, Bo Cook and wife Kelly of Collinston, LA, Wesley Spikes of West Monroe, LA, Britanny Spikes of Shreveport, LA; and great granddaughters, Scooter Spikes, Hannah Cook, Mackenzie Cook
