Held In Howard
For Mr. Brown
Funeral services for James Henry Brown of Howard were held at 3:30 P.M., Saturday December 15, from the Howard Methodist Church, Rev. C. W. Hancock of Columbus and the Rev. Kenny Fuller officiated and interment was in the Howard Cemetery.
Born in Taylor County, Oct 23, 1899, son of the late William Marshall and Millie Averett Brown, he had lived in Taylor County all of his life and was a retired farmer.
Mr. Brown died Friday at 1:p.m. in the Meriwether Memorial Hospital in Warm Springs after a long illness.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sally Emma Butler Brown of Howard; one daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Brown Coward of Butler; one four grandchildren, Mrs. Kelly Foster of Griffin, Miss Linda Coward of Macon, Benny Coward of Atlanta and Jimmy Coward of Butler; two great-grandchildren, Ken and Darlene Foster of Griffin; one sister, Mrs. M.L. Parks of Howard; and two brothers, Joe and Bill Brown of Howard.
Edwards Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements with John Pennington, John Franklin, Clinton Clark, Bill Gee, D. W. Culverhouse, Dale Parks, Austin Guinn and Lonnie Parker serving as pallbearers.
