Margaret O'Neill Hartzell; Pulaski RD 1 resident Margaret A. O'Neill Hartzell, 97, of Pulaski RD 1 died at 5:45 p.m. Sept. 19, 1994, in Jameson Memorial Hospital. She was born in New Castle on July 30, 1897, to John and Anne Gray Patton. Her first husband, Hugh O'Neill died in 1917. She subsequently married Chester Hartzell, and he died in 1965. Mrs. Hartzell has been a cook for 16 years at the Castleton Hotel. She belonged to the New Bedford Presbyterian Church. Survivors include three sons, Hugh O'Neill of Sharon, William Hartzell and Donald Hartzell, both of Pulaski; a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Doris "Jo") Ruby of Pulaski; a sister, Anna McKibben of New Castle; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Chester and Paul Hartzell; a grandson, Benjamin O'Neill; two daughters, Margaret Ann adn Janet Eileen Hartzell; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, William, John, and Johnson Patton; four sisters, Josephine Massie, Mabel Hanna, Edna Mae and Violet Patton. Visitation is being observed from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home, 2429 Wilmington Road. A service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Cunningham's by the Rev. Bruce Milligan, pastor of New Bedford Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
