July 6, 1938 NEWPORT, July 6, -- Mrs Stella Josephine Sigler, aged 53 years, died yesterday afternoon in Mercy Hospital of uremic poisoning. She had been ill for two weeks. Born in Brest, May 23, 1885, Mrs. Sigler had lived in and near Newport all of her life. She taught school at South Rockwood and Newport for a number of years. She was a member of the Altar Society of St. Charles Catholic Church at Oldport. Surviving are the husband Louis; her mother Mrs. Catherine Souva of Newport; three daughters, Mrs. Bernice Herkimer of Detroit, Beatrice and Vida Mae at home; four brothers, Clarence, Peter and David Souva of Newport and Roy Souva of South Rockwood; and two sisters, Mrs. Bernard Donnelly and Mrs. William Armstrong of Monroe.
The body will be removed from the Ford funeral home this afternoon. Funeral services will be held at the residence at 9:30 and at St. Charles Catholic Church at 10 o'clock friday. The Rev. Fr. T. H. Rose will officiate and interment will be in St. Charles cemetery. Nephews will be pallbears.
