Daughter of the late Peter and Laura Grabinger Thompson, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynette Ann, and by her sisters, Arlene and Delores. She was survived by her husband, Eldon "Bud" Fickel (married on June 7, 1952, in Davenport, IA); daughter, Teri Fickel Bowker (Harry); grandchildren, Morgan Bowker and Jeremy Fickel; sisters, Gerry Gapinski, Loretta Buchheit (Bill), Darlene "Babe" Bremmer (Gene); brothers, Loren "Bud" Thompson (Janie) and Patrick "Butch" Thompson (Laurie); and an extended family of relatives and friends. Her funeral was held on June 8, 2005.
