Paul H Holding married Goldie Marie George--daughter of Joseph A George and Minnie Alice Fearing--18 July 1912 in Columbus, Ohio. Together, they had a child named Pauline Emily Holding who was born 28 April 1913. Paul and Goldie parted ways soon after Pauline's birth, and he went off to Illinois and she remained in Ohio. Pauline grew up with Paul and his family. He was a very loving father, husband and friend. In 1925, at the age of 11 yrs., Pauline was living in Harrison, North Dakota with Paul, Hazel, and Donna Mary Holding. At the age of 22 yrs, Pauline lived in Green Bay, Wisconsin and records indicate she married Willard Emery Christensen and they lived in California. She passed away 6 March 1988 in Tulare, California. (Info provided by Lilly)
In 1919 Paul married Hazel Lucinda Smith 28 August in Rockford, IL. Together they had 5 children; 1 being still-born in 1922. Our cousin Robert Smith Holding is one of their children. Bob was instrumental in documenting the Smith family history and generously passed it on to us his cousins. I've recently learned that he was part of the GenForum boards; searching for answers about Goldie for his father, Paul. He is sorely missed and we look forward to being reunited with him in the future.
