Bernard Breland, 84, of Paris, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Dubuis Hospital.

Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 22nd, at College Church of Christ with Nolan Butler officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Breland, the son of Henry Gregg & Anna Edith Roberson Breland, was born Dec. 15, 1928, in Seymour, TX. On May 4, 1947, he married Peggy Ruth Perkins, building fifty-seven years of family and memories before her death on June 12, 2004. He & Peggy moved from Gruver, Texas to the Paris area in 1978. They were faithful members of College Church of Christ. Mr. Breland was a farmer & rancher during his working years and later was a well known fixture at his son's trucking company, Breland Trucking.

Survivors include his son, Gary Breland & wife Gail of Reno, two daughters, Anna Lynn Emerson & husband Joe of Amarillo and Shirley Needham & husband Bobby of Bay Minette, AL, 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild along with a host of friends including Connie Ball & John Nash.
