THEODORE TOWER
Theodore Tower was born in Oakland Co., township of Avon, State of Mich., March 8, 1847. Was united in marriage to Miss Mary Haden of Byron, Shiawassee Co., July 3rd, 1867. Four children were born to them, Myrtie, Emery, Evan and Elmer.
Mr. and Mrs. Tower resided in the township of Burns, Shiawassee County, until after their children were born, then moved to Clare Co. near Clare where he still resided until he went with his son Emery to Cedar Grove, Louisiana, last February where he passed away June 22nd, 1919. He is survived by his wife and three sons, Emery of Cedar Grove, La., Evan of Marion and Elmer of Clare. Four brothers and four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Bixby and Mrs. Mary Newman of Byron, Mich. Mrs. Cordelia Cowles, and Mrs. Emma Mulligan of Coleman, Mich., Solomon Tower, Owosso, Samuel Tower Onoway, William Tower Coleman, and David Tower of Flint.
He gave perfect evidence that his life was hid with Christ in God, and asked that his testimony might be sent to friends back home and that he prayed that his family might meet, an unbroken family in Heaven. His remains were laid at rest in the Byron Cemetery where all his relatives rest. Our lose to him is gain.
