Born July 11, 1927, in Port Royal, she was to daughter of Ruth E. [Boyer] Meloy, Brookline Manor Retirement Village, Mifflintown and the late Alton L. Meloy who died August 26, 1978.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, John H. Cunningham, whom she married October 1. 1949.
Also surviving are: children, Joel R. Cunningham, Greg A. Cunningham and. Kevin Cunningham, all of Mifflintown RD2; two sisters Mrs. Edward (Carol) Shevenock, Harrisburg, and Mrs. Kenneth (Gayle) Cisney, Port Royal; seven grandchildren.
She was a 1945 graduate of the Port Royal High School and a 1949 graduate of West Chester Teachers College, West Chester.
She was a member of Port Royal Lutheran Church and the church choir, and was a Sunday School music teacher and an assistant church organist.
She was also a member of Juniata County Choir and the Walker Grange No. 786.
Services were held Money at the Port Royal Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Steven Nelson officiating.
Interment was in the Adams Cemetery, Walker Township, Juniata County.
The Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal was in charge of arrangements.
