Obituary - KAYSVILLE - Alta Fawn Woodward, 84, died Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at her home in Kaysville. She was born March 22, 1921 in Ogden, a daughter of Lawrence A. and Margaret Stone Baxter. She graduated from the High School for the Deaf.

In October of 1943, Alta married Delbert P. Robinson. They later divorced. In 1945 she married Oliver Woodward in Evanston, Wyoming. Their marriage was later solemnized on May 12, 1969 in the Logan LDS Temple. He died July 3, 1975. Alta married William L. Broyles in May of 1977 in Wendover, Nevada. He died in August of 1997. On April 21, 2003, Alta married Arvel Woodward in Farmington.

She was a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Ogden Deaf Branch. Alta worked as a seamstress for the W.S. Butler Company. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, fishing, traveling and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband of Kaysville; two sons and two daughters, Vernon A. (Peggy) Woodward, Centerville; Dennis J. (Sheila) Woodward, South Ogden; Cheryl L. Owens (Larry Searle), Roy; Ginger (E.J.) Martinez, Winnemucca, NV; five stepchildren, Donald E. (Nancy) Woodward, Kaysville; Deanna (B.J.) Smith, Layton; LaRae (Max) Whitesides, Morgan; LaVauna (Zachery) Romero, Kaysville; Ronald (Nytalia) Woodward, Kaysville; 15 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Preceding Alta in death were her husbands, Oliver and Bill, her parents, a sister, Virginia, and a grandson, Jeff Searle.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Saturday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
