Mrs. Pond was born Aug. 18, 1920, in Maupin. Her maiden name was Breniser. She lived in Portland for many years until moving to Lafayette, La., in 1984. She worked as a certified nurses aide. Her husband, Walter N., died in 1990.
Survivors include her son, Joseph A. of Framingham, Mass.; daughters, Elizabeth A. Guillot of Maurice, La., and Susan M. Keizur of Federal Way, Wash.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Interment was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Lafayette. Arrangements were by Delhomme Funeral Home in Lafayette.
