Anna (Aphrodite) Brown was born June 8, 1925 in Uhrichsville, OH which was always her "home". She passed on March 16, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Irene Pappas and twin sisters Anna and Sophie Pappas. She will be sadly missed by her children: daughter, Debra (Joseph) Trapasso; sons, Michael (Teresa) Brown and Nicholas Brown. She was Yia-Yia to her grandchildren, Angela (Edward) Bulach, Abigail (Michael) Lowther, Alexandria Trapasso, Michael, Kenny, and Jack Brown and Jessica Brown. She was Yia-Yia2 to great-grandchildren, Jacob and Tyler Bulach, Isabel and Brooklyn Lowther and Makayla Brown. Anna lived her life to the fullest. She loved being a part of whatever moment came up and she had a gift for making strangers her friends. She worked hard throughout her life and was fiercely proud of her Greek heritage. She loved bingo, traveling to wherever she could go and she could bark with the best of them for her Cleveland Browns. She never once failed to give her children her absolute, unconditional love and support. Her greatest pride was as Yia-Yia to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her face always lit up when any one of them walked into the room. With her passing, a very special light went out. Her family would like to extend a very special Thank You to the amazing hospice staff at Senior Independence, particularly Julie and Tina, who helped more than they could know. Also a special Thank You to the staff at The Woodlands Assisted Living, especially the nurses, amazing aides and the dining staff who took such gentle and loving care of our Mom and Yia-Yia. All were there whenever we asked and especially when we didn't. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2013 at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. where funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday. Interment and Trisagion Service 2 p.m. at Union Cemetery, Uhrichsville, Ohio with Father John Verginis officiating. Contributions in Anna's memory may be made to the Central Ohio Alzheimer's Association . Visit www.schoedinger.com to share a favorite memory or photo of Anna.
