Funeral services for Mrs. Leon A. Wylie, age 60, were held Saturday afternoon in Illinois City church with burial in the Illinois City cemetery. The George M. Wittich Funeral Home was in charge.
Mrs. Wylie passed away at a Muscatine hospital Wednesday morning, May 14, following a short illness.
Survivors include the widower; two daughters, Mrs. Lyle Morrison of Reynolds and Fred Smith
of New Boston; two sons, Merle, at home, and Noah who is on Naval duty in Japan; a sister, Mrs. Omar Martin, of Rock Island; three brothers, Axel of Moline, Edward of Rock Island and John of Chariton, Iowa; and four grandchildren. A son and three sisters preceeded her in death.
Born Mar. 14, 1892, in Drury, Bessie Helen Anderson was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gustaf Anderson. On Feb. 12, 1916, she was married to Mr, Wylie and had lived all her life in Drury and Buffalo Prairie towns.
