Sameul Albert Myers, 98, of 62 Vine St., Newville, died Friday evening at his home.

Born Oct. 1, 1880, in Upper Frankford Township, he was a son of the late Solomon and Catherine Fiches Myers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Irene Barrick Myers.

Mr. Myers was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Upper Frankfort Township.

He was a retired fencepost maker.

Mr. Myers is survived by a son, Curtis L. Myers, Carlisle R. D. 4; four daughters, Janice Myers, 62 Vine St., Newville; Mrs. Jane Kohler, Newville R. D. 4, Mrs. Alta Devor, Shippensburg, and Mrs. Betty Beamer, Carlisle R. D. 1; 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m at the Frank C. Egger Funeral Home, 15 Big Spring Ave., Newville, with the Rev. Harry M. Mumper, retired Newville pastor, officiating. Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the services Tuesday. Internment will be in Upper Frankfort Cemetery.
