Born February 28, 1938, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Allen Dale Sr. and Ruby Pearl Coolbaugh Booten. On January 18, 1959 she married Howard Sanders in Oquawka, IL. They later divorced.
She worked in production at Champion Spark Plug for 33 years.
She was a 1957 graduate of Burlington High School.
She was a life member of VFW Post 10102 Auxiliary and UAW 1237. She was also a member of Women of the Moose and American Legion. She helped post the colors with the VFW for many years. She was a published author in the International Society of Poets.
Survivors include son, Lenny (Molly) Sanders of West Burlington, IA, four grandchildren, Logan, Liberty, Miles, and McKenna.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Allen Booten Jr., and one sister, Barbara Elizabeth Johnston.
