Laramie Boomerang (WY) - August 22, 2009. Deceased Name: Angus 'Lorin' Ward. Angus "Lorin" Ward, 85, of Fort Collins, Colo., died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009. He was born Oct. 26, 1923, in Willard, Utah, to Angus P. and Mona (Baird) Ward. He earned a bachelor's degree in wildlife biology from Utah State University. He served in the U. S. Navy and then worked as a wildlife biologist for U. S. Fish and Wildlife Services for 18 years and U. S. Forest Service for 20 years. He married Jean Lowe on June 30, 1947, in Willard. They lived in Laramie for 28 years before moving to Fort Collins 14 years ago. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and several outdoor clubs and associations. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing.

He is survived by his wife, Jean, of Fort Collins; a daughter, Amy L. Kessler and her husband, Jeff of Fort Collins; a son, Gregory L. Ward and his wife, Debi of Escondito, Calif.; three grandchildren, Benjamin, William and Jonathan and his wife, Daria; and one greatgrandchild, Makayla. Cremation has taken place. Private services will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Pathways Hospice in care of Viegut Funeral Home, 1616 N. Lincoln Ave., Loveland, CO 80538, or to a charity of your choice.
