NEWSPAPER issue of Wednesday, May 8, 1901
A very deplorable accident occurred at 10 o'clock last Sunday morning just over in Clay county near Mellow Valley. The wife and sister of Mr. Wyatt Worthy, a prominent citizen, were thrown from a buggy by a runaway horse and the former was so badly injured that she died in less than an hour. Miss Worthy is seriously wounded besides having one limb broken.
