The body of Alex Payne was taken to his former home in Homer on the 20th inst. He lived in Covington for several years previous to his death, and died there. Deceased belonged to the Woodman order and about fifty were in line with badges and symbols and a hearse to conduct the remains to the G. A. R. cemetery for burial.
