Walter Ozbourn was the son of Thomas, Sr. and Priscilla (Miles) Ozbourn. His maternal grandparents were: Henry and Eleanor (Pidgeon) Miles. Walter first married Theresa Cambron. He married secondly to Chlotilda McAtee, 1792-1873, daughter of Henry McAtee, in Washington County, KY. Their marriage bond is dated February 22, 1821. The surety to this marriage bond was Thomas Hill who made oath that the bride was of age. This record is recorded in Marriage Book #1, page 204. He was the father of: were the parents of Pius Ozbourn, 18xx-18xx; Louisa (Ozbourn) Johnson, 18xx-18xx; Francis Ozbourn, 18xx-18xx; Caroline Ozbourne, 18xx-18xx; Edward Ozbourn, 18xx-18xx; Thomas Ozbourn, 18xx-18xx; William W. Ozbourn, 18xx-18xx; Teresa Ozbourn, 18xx-18xx; Henry P. Ozbourn, 18xx-18xx; Priscilla Ozbourne, 18xx-18xx; and Elizabeth Ozbourn, 1830-18xx. In his will written November 13, 1833, he speaks of land he purchased from his father and Thomas Cambron amounting to 243 acres a tract he bought of Charles Burks containing 30 acres. He names the following slaves: Moses (man); Mary (woman); Betty (woman); Trecy (woman); Ben (boy; Tom (boy); Harriet (girl); and Ralph (boy). He mentions kitchen furniture, my new wagon, other farm implements, household furniture, cooper's tools, farm horses, cattle, etc. He mentions sums of money--for instance he leaves the last six named children $200 when they become 21 years of age. He appoints his wife Clotilda and his brother Joseph Ozbourn his executors and signs it in the presence of Levine Carrico, Edward Ozbourn, and Thomas Carrico. The will is probated and filed in Will Book #E, Page 402 on February 24, 1834 in the County Clerk's Office in Springfield, KY. His burial entry on page 123 of St. Rose Parish Register I says he was buried Dec. 13, 1833.
