Thomas Ozbourn, Sr. was born about 1757 in Charles County, MD. He married Priscilla Miles, 1759-1849, daughter of Henry and Eleanor (Pidgeon) Miles, in Maryland. Thomas and Priscilla (Miles) Ozbourn were parents of; Mary (Ozbourne) Blandford, 17xx-18xx; Thomas Ozbourn, Jr., 17xx-1829; Catherine (Ozbourn) Carrico, 17xx-18xx; Sarah (Ozbourn) Montgomery, 1778-1819; Martha "Patsy" (Ozbourn) Cambron, 1787-1876; Ann (Ozbourne) Smith, 17xx-18xx; Elizabeth (Ozbourn) McAtee, 1799-1844; Teresa "Treacy" (Ozbourn) Jarboe, 17xx-18xx; Joseph Ozbourn, 1806-1858; Edward Ozbourne, 1787-1862; Walter Ozbourn, 17xx-1833, and William Ozbourn, 1791-1859.

Thomas Ozbourn, Sr. wrote his will Jan. 1, 1815 and it was probated and recorded in Washington County, KY Will Book #B, on pages 401-403, on Feb. 13, 1815. So he died in late winter. He made his wife Priscilla and all of his children, with the exception of his daughter Mary (Ozbourn) Blandford, wife of Aquilla Blandford, who had died, legatees. He left Mary's child's part to her three children ("his grandchildren"): Thomas, William, and Martin Blandford. He left to the Rev. Edward Fenwick, O.P., then pastor at St. Rose, founder of St. Rose and later the first Bishop of Cincinnati, Ohio, the sum of #30.00 for burial expenses and $20.00 for the poor. In this will he mentions his 355 acre plantation which he had purchased from: Scott, Rice, and Helm. He mentioned the Negroes he owned: Isaac (man), Hannah (woman); Milly (girl); Mary (girl); Joseph (boy); Anne (woman); William (man); and Charles (man). He directed that his executors sell his two Negro men, William and Charles ,"before I die", and use the money raised to pay Lockhart Eagan for land he had purchased. He mentions a tract of land he owned on the Rolling Fork River (in what is now Marion County, KY). He mentions a good deal of livestock, horses, cows, sheep, hogs, poultry, geese, etc., and farm implements. The will was witnessed by: Henry Fenwick, Richard Simpson, and William Wright. It is lodged in the County Clerk's Office in Springfield, KY.
