Florence was b. to Nathan & Ella (Clark) Starr, according to her Gore, Hocking Co., OH birth record. Her middle name was "Ellen" on her birth record and "Evelyn" on Raymond Pierson's typed WWII draft card. Florence's parents were living in Salt Lick Twp., Perry Co., OH in the 1900 census. Her uncle Andrew "Andy" Clark was living with them. Sometime between 1900 and 1910 her mother passed away and her father re-married.
