Mrs. Smith, 92, died March 7, 2001, at her residence. She was born in Copiah County on June 20, 1908, to Ed Hennington and Mary E. Weeks Hennington.
She was a retired antique store owner. She was a member of the Methodist faith.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, John F. Smith; her son, Bobby R. Smith; her granddaughter, Debbie Langdon; and six brothers and four sisters.
Survivors are her son, J. Fred Smith of Virginia; her daughter, Mary Ann Jasper of Wesson; her sisters, Hazel Box of Wesson and Marguerite Granberry of Hattiesburg; and seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
