Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer, Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois, Saturday, January 26, 1952:
  Albert Henry Abert of 1307 Troy road, an employee of the Madison County Tractor company, died Friday at 1 p.m. at his residence after a lingering illness.
  He was born Feb. 27, 1890 in Alhambra township and had attained the age of 61 years, ten months and 28 days. His parents were the late August and Anna Abert. His marriage to Miss Lucie Dietz took place Sept. 14, 1915, at Alhambra. She survives.
  Also surviving are two sons, Harold Abert of this city and Raymond Abert of St. Louis; two brothers, Louis Abert of Belleville and Edward of Alhambra; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Grotefendt of Marine and Miss Anna Abert of this city and three grandchildren, Judy, Larry and Gregg Abert. One daughter preceded him in death in infancy.
  He was a member of Eden Evangelical church.
  Friends may call at the Schneider funeral home after 6 p.m. Saturday until Monday at 11 a.m. when the remains will be taken to Eden Evangelical church to lie in state until services are held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. H.J. Bredehoeft officiating.
  Interment will be in the Salem Evangelical cemetery at Alhambra.
