Funeral services were held Sunday, February 17, 2012, at Apple's Chapel Christian Church with Rev. Allen Myers officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Annie was born in Guilford County to the late John Edward Cook and Vera Huffines Cook. She was a member of Apple's Chapel Christian Church and the Helping Hands Sunday School Class. She retired from Lorillard Tobacco Company. She loved working in her garden and flowers, cooking, and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herman Jones; brother, A. J. Cook; sisters, Ruby Busick and Lillie Cook. She is survived by daughter, Lisa Thomason (Robert); grandson, Benjamin Thomason; brother, Charlie Cook (Pauline); sister Ada Calhoun (Leo).
