Edwin Dean Angstrom, 89, long-time resident of Wilbur, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2008, at the Davenport Hospital.
Dean was born on October 13, 1918, in Creston. He was the first of five sons: Dean, Boyd, Dellis, Merle and Lowell, born to Delilah (Roby) and Floyd Angstrom.
In 1942 he married Mildred Reister and three daughters were born of the union. They later divorced.
He was an electrician and farmer. Dean was a member of the Wilbur Rock Club, Spokane Rock Rollers Club, Chief Joseph Gem and Mineral Club, Washington State Mineral Council (honorary trustee-eastside), Grand Coulee Eagles Lodge and the Spokane Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law: Janis and Dennis Herdrick of Almira and Sharon and James Rowlett of Medford, Ore. His grandchildren Geraldine (Gollehon) and Ted Callahan of Bailey, Colo., James and Ronda Gollehon of Wilbur, Rane Rowlett of Medford, Brian and Claudia Rowlett of Medford and eight great-grandchildren. Nieces nephews, cousins, his first wife Mildred Wagner of Medford and his Aunt Rachel Roby McNew of Wilbur, also survive him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, daughter Carolyn Angstrom, grandson Gerald Gollehon Jr., son-in-law Gerald Gollehon Sr., and two wives Jean (Miller) Bannon-Angstrom and Katherine Kay Angstrom.
A celebration of his life will be held later this summer.
