Esther Eileen Dodd, 78. of Robinson, formerly of Casey, died at 8:30 p.m., Friday, January 1, 1999 at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson.
She was a homemaker.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 5 at Markwell & Son Funeral Home in Casey, with the Rev. Tom Marsh officiating. Burial will be in the Washington Street Cemetery in Casey. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born on March 1, 1920 at Oilfield. Ill., the daughter of George and Dessie (Kemper) Garrett. She married Robert Dodd on November 12, 1939 in St. Charles, Mo.
Survivors include her husband Robert of Robinson; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and June Dodd of Austin, Texas and Jerry and Kelly Dodd of Robinson; a daughter and son-in-law, Patti and David Garrett of Key Largo, Fla.; one brother, George "Raymond" Garrett of Mt. Vernon, Ind.; six grandchildren, Laura Robin Dodd of Seattle. Wash., Robert L. Dodd of Austin, Texas. Toby A. Dodd of Terre Haute, Ind., Garrett Dodd of Robinson and Ruth and Cody Kuhn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Myrtle Owens, Clara Funk, Opal Imboden, Mabel Cox, and Helen Stewart; two brothers, Eddie and Gehl Garrett.
