Allen Tate Funeral Was Held Tuesday

Funeral services for Allen K. Tate were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock from the Church of Christ with Rev. F. M. Hunter, the pastor in charge. Interment was at G. A. R. cemetery. The deceased passed away Sunday morning at St. Elizabeth hospital in Danville, having suffered a stroke on Thanksgiving Day. He had been in the hospital about two weeks. He was born at Cynthianna, Ky, May 26, 1854 and had been a resident of Homer about 25 years coming here from Philo. Oct. 6, 1928 he was married to Mrs. Jennie Harmeson, who survives him, besides six children by a former marriage. They are: Dan, Bainbridge, Ind.; Eliza, Plainfield, Ill.; Maud Williamson of Chicago; Janet of Billings, Mont.; Mrs. Otis Norman and Miss Marie Williamson of Danville; also 14 grandchildren and 5 step-children .
