Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Friday in the Holloway Funeral Home for Richard L. Parsons, Vice-President of R. H. Polliard and Co. age 55, fomerly of Quantico Road, Salisbury, MD.

He died Monday in the Peninsula General Hospital Medical Center after a short illness.

The Rev. Robert Shires will officiate. Interment will be in Spring Hill Memory Gardens.

Born in Salisbury, he was a son of he late B. Frank and Eva Marie Taylor Parsons.

Parsons a World War II Army veteran, had owned and managed the Polliard Heating and Plumbing company since 1947. He was a former member of the Salisbury Jaycees and was a member of Wicomico Presbyterian Church, the Master Plumbers Association, the U.S. Trotting Association and the Lower Shore Home Builders Association.

He was an avid horse lover and owned Standardbred racehorses with his brother Marion F. Parsons Sr. and nephew Frank Parsons Jr.

Surviving are his wife, Doris Polliard Parsons; a sister, Charlotte Parsons Spory, Glens Falls, N.Y.; a brother, Marion F. Parsons, Salisbury, MD and several nieces and nephews.
