John Austin, who would have been 80 years old July 16, died yesterday at his farm, north of Whitehall, following an illness of several years. Mr Austin had been a farmer for the last 30 years and previous to that and for 25 years was an engineer at the D and H coal shute at "The Elbow", Whitehall. He was born in Whitehall and always resided there. Surviving are five sons, John, Frank, Rush,Fred, and Charles Austin, and three daughters, Mrs John Lyons, Misses Mary and Lucy Austin, all of Whitehall. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at Our Lady of Victory Church. (Notre Dame des Victories) Burial will be made in Boardman Cemetery.
