Mary Louise Williams Simons, 78, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away March 1, 2013.

Mrs. Simons was born June 12, 1935 in Austin, Texas to Pat and Ruby Iona Pogue Williams.

Surviving Mrs. Simons are three daughters. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two brothers. Also surviving her are many nieces and nephews and others who loved her.

Predeceasing her was the love of her life, her husband of 40 years, J. R. Simons. Also her daughter, baby girl Simons; 4 sisters, Dorothy Marie Williams Buck, Patsy Jean Williams Taylor Ellis, Shirley Ann Williams Skinner and Dolores Ann Williams Davis Pakebusch and one brother, Billy Thorne Williams Sr.

Mrs. Simons had a keen interest in genealogy that she shared with many people. She loved helping others research their family history. She was also very involved with and a member of the Daughters of the American Republic and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. In between these tasks she loved crocheting and collecting dolls.

Mrs. Simons was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church where her presence will be missed.

Burial: Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont, Texas.
