Leo J. Burant, age 96, of Wisconsin Veterans Home, King, WI, passed away on Friday, July 24, 1981, at the Riverside Community Memorial Hospital in Waupaca, WI. He had lived at the veterans home since December 1949, coming from Rosholt.
A WWI veteran and retired farm worker, he was born on March 5, 1885 in Stevens Point, WI, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alex Burant.
Survivors include a nephew and one cousin.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 28, at the Olson Hall Chapel, King, with Father Orville Catuso, chaplain, officiating. Burial in the WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, King. Holly Funeral Home, Waupaca, was in charge of arrangements.
