Baptized at St. Thomas Evangelical Lutheran Church, Churchtown, NY, on 12/24/1777, Sponsor: Andreas Lowe. A namesake of his grandfather, Andreas Lowe. Andreas Lape purchased 143 acres of land at a cost of $750, on October 27, 1825, from Susan Ogden, Hannah Murray, and Mary Murray, of New York (K-235). He was living with his son, Samuel Lape III during the 1850 census. He may have been married a second time to "Elizabeth Heidley" (b. 1780/1790; d. 1840/50 in Summit Schoharie County, NY), possible daughter of Jacob Heidley and his wife Anna who sponsored the baptism of Andrew's uncle. If so, Elizabeth may have been the mother of the last four children, Leah, Sarah, Andrew, and Lucinda. He was a deacon of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lutheranville, NY, in 1822.
