Marjorie A. Doak, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother has found her place in heaven with the Lord. She died peacefully in her home on May 6th, surrounded by her loving family and dear friends. Born in Fort Wayne, IN on April 5th, 1929. She attended Precious Blood Catholic School for eight years and went on to graduate from Central Catholic High School in 1947. In 1950, she married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Joseph Arthur Doak. Margie was a woman who possessed an astounding amount of beauty, grace and kindness. For years, she courageously battled the crippling disease of multiple sclerosis. Survivors include husband, Joseph Arthur Doak of Fort Wayne; son, Joseph M. Doak of Fort Wayne; daughters, Linda S. (Michael) Bird of Fort Wayne, Susan A. (Thomas) Wolfe of San Diego, CA, Patricia A. (Reginald) Barnwell of Fort Wayne; sons, Thomas P. Doak of Yuma, AZ, and William T. Doak of Fort Wayne; daughter, Jennifer D. Leister of Scottsdale, AZ; grandchildren, Brigid Funk, Joseph A. Doak, Erin Doak, Sean Doak, Michael B. Bird, Bianca Bird, Meredith Wolfe, Madeline Wolfe, Blake Wolfe, Reginald P. Barnwell, Preston R. Barnwell, Nicolaus and Corbin Leister; great-grandson, Michael C. Bird. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Beatrice Ubelhor; brother Ralph Ubelhor and granddaughter, Tuesday Hope Bird. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Saturday at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 1515 Barthold with calling one hour prior, Fr. Daniel Leeuw officiating. Calling is also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue with Rosary at 8:30 p.m. Friday. Entombment in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials to Parkview Home Health Care & Hospice, National Multiple Sclerosis Society or masses.
