1840 US Census: Washington, Brown County, IN. Levin Tull. Males: 1 under 5, 1 age5-9, 2 age 10-14, 1 age 15-19, 1 age 50-60. Females: 1 under 5, 1 age 10-15, 1 age 50-60. Neighboring families were Matthew Mathes and Reuben Mathis.

Dennis, 60, farmer; Hannah 64; H.H. 20; William Scott, 24; Susan Scott, 28; James, 11: Albert, 5; W.H., 3. Dennis Reynolds is a relative of Leven's 2nd wife Malvina.
1870 Census, Missouri. Probate from Andrew County, Missouri. (Andrew County Death Records have no listing for Levin Tull. MO Death Records were not kept in Andrew County until 1883, and generally not available in MO until 1910. Cemetery records were not kept for numerous years. Many graves went unmarked).

Levin Tull was a farmer, born about 1794, Jackson County, North Carolina, and died after 11 July, 1865 and before 23 August 1865, in Andrew County, MO.
Leven Tull's marriage bond was on 10 March 1823 in Surry County, NC, with Bondsman Landon Trulove. His first marriage was on 16 Sept 1823 Stokes Co., North Carolina to Laurana Mathis, born about 1795 in North Carolina and died in Sept. 1845 in Brown County, Indiana. She was the daughter of Reuben Mathis and Druscilla Martin.
After Laurana's death, Leven married a second time on 16 September 1846, in Brown County, Indiana to Miss Luvina (Melvina)Reynolds.

"History of Brown Co., IN, Washington Township," p. 719 states that Levin Tull was the first Constable of Washington Township when it was formed in August 1836, from the western part of Monroe Co. and the eastern part of Bartholomew Co. He was elected in 1838 as one of two of the Fence Viewers.

4. Isaac Tull b. 10 April 1830 IN. d. 2 July 1908 Spokane WA buried Fairmount Cemetery on 3 July 1908 Plot #2-1 R-8. CIVIL WAR VETERAN Headstone: "Member of Co. G 12th Mo Cav. (In the second year after the death of his father and the year following the close of the US Civil War, Isaac married his stepmother Luvina (Melvina) Reynolds (abt 1866). They moved to Spokane WA in 1887, where both died & are buried).

Levin's wife Laurana Mathis died after the birth of (twins)James Madison Tull & Thomas Jefferson Tull, in Brown County, Indiana.

Levin married 16 September 1846 in Brown Co IN to Lavina/Malvina Reynolds, Malvina was born 14 Feb 1821 in TN, and died 20 February 1909 Spokane WA. She was buried in Fairmount Cemetery on 27 Apr 1909. Lavina and Levin raised 7 more children:
1. Sarah Jane Tull, born about 1848 Brown Co IN, and died before 1909. She married on21 March 1870 in Maryville, Nodaway County, MO to John Tessman. He was born about 1828 in Mecklenburg, MO.
2. Francis (Frank) Marion Tull, born about 1851 in IN, and died 7 May 1931 in Spokane, WA. He was buried Fairmount Cem. Plot 4-1 R-8. According to his mother's obituary he was living in OK City, OK in 1909. Frank first married Clara, she was born March 1870 in Maine. Frank's second marriage was on 20 April 1872 in Harrison Co, MO to Lucy Ann Fowler. Lucy was born 8 Nov 1855 in KY and died at age 32 on 18 July 1888, in Spokane WA-and was buried Fairmount Cem.
3. Levin/Eleven/Livingston Tull was born 30 Apr 1852, in Brown Co., IN, and died 19 May 1921 in Tracy Township, Platte City, MO. He was buried in Platte City Cem. He married on 16 June 1872, in Maryville, Nodaway Co., MO to Eliza Jane Glover. Eliza was born15 April 1852, in Gentry Co., MO. Eliza died on 11 July 1922 in Tracy, Platte City, MO.
4. Hannah Ellen Tull was born 31 July 1854, MO and died on 26 Nov 1880. Hannah married on 11 Dec 1873 in Andrew Co, MO to Vincent Conner. Vincent was born about 1837 in OH.
5. Perry D. Tull was born on 22 Oct 1860 at St. Joseph, MO. He died on 17 June 1945 in Portland, Multnomah Co, OR. He was buried in Fairmount Cem, Spokane WA Plot #7-2 R-8. Perry first married about 1883 to Linda A. She was born in Jan 1862 in OH and died 8 Jan 1907 in Spokane, WA. She was buried in Fairmount Cem., Spokane, WA (Linda was buried in family plot before it was purchased by Perry on 3/10/1908. Perry married a second time after 1907 to Bess L. Switzler. Bess was born in 1880 in OR, and died at age 75, bef 14 Apr 1955 Portland OR, as she was buried 14 Apr 1955 Fairmount Cem, Spokane, WA Plot 8-1 R-8.
6. Lucinda (Lucy) Caroline Reynolds/Tull b.abt 1842 IN, d. 19 Jan 1915 Washington Co AR--Levin's stepdaughter

7. William Reynolds was born about 1844 in IN and died before 1909. He was Levin's stepson.

Levin died and was buried, but when & where is uncertain. At his death, more money was owed to his doctor than was for his coffin. (See last item below). Levin's Missouri home place in 1865 was located in (now) Benton Township, Section 24. He had 40 acres in the east half, within a half mile of McGlothlin Cemetery. That old cemetery has many unmarked graves and marked ones for white people, and a section for colored people with all of those graves unmarked. However, his son Martin V. Tull & family were buried in Whitesville Cemetery near where Martin lived (5 miles away).
