She was born July 6, 1925 in Kerens to Joseph Elkins Griggs and Myrtle Josephine Wright.
Mrs. May was Secretary for both the Kerens Chamber of Commerce and the Kerens Cemetery Association for over 30 years.
She is survived by her four children, Sherry Hamm of Rockwall, Glenda Griffin of College Station, Connie Maxwell of Lewisville and Luke May of Hewitt; two sisters, Mary Sue Phillips of Humble and Doris Chrisman of Kerens; twin brothers, Bill and Jack Griggs both of Kerens; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012 at Paschal Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Kerens with Rev. Leslie Byrd and Rev. Kory Koch officiating. Burial to follow in the Kerens Cemetery.
