Harry B. Roberts, 92, passed away Thurs. Sept. 8 at his home in Warsaw. He was the son of the late Matt A. and Mary Estelle Lindsay Roberts. He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Jill Conlee and Lindsay Roberts, a granddaughter, Shannon Conlee, a son Mikel Roberts, four brothers, and his first wife Marie. Harry was a retired nurseryman, a Mason for over 50 years, member of the Warsaw Baptist Church and Lions Club, former chairman of the Gallatin Co. Draft Board and enjoyed woodworking and U.K. basketball. He served his country in the Army during WW II after graduating high school and attending Cumberland College. Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Asher Roberts, a step-daughter, Lauren Miles at home, daughter, Elizabeth Jackson and her husband Michael of Richmond, KY, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-8pm at the Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home in Warsaw. Funeral services will begin Monday at 11am and will be held at the funeral home with Bro. Darrell Maines officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
