Emma Ruth Watts, 82 of Laurel, MS, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:30pm, on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, MS. Rev. Johnny Watts will officiate. Burial will be in Union Line Cemetery.
Ruth was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church near Laurel, MS. Ruth loved antiques and working in her yard. Of special enjoyment to her was her flowers.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Dolphus F. Watts; parents, Jack and Emma S. Thornton; son, Terry R. Watts; brothers, Ralph Thornton, Frank Thornton and Gene Thornton; sister, Mary Boykin and a host of other half brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her daughters, Suzan Watts Donald (Mike), Laurel, MS and Pam Watts McVey, Soso, MS; sisters, Elois Gray, Taylorsville, MS and Eloise Craven (Max), Mosspoint, MS; grandchildren, Terry F. Watts, Michael Watts, Amy Machen (Phillip), Alice Cash (Scott), Lindsay Donald, Lance Donald (Tik) and Laurel Lowe (Casey); 7 great- grandchildren and a host of other relatives.
