PORTAGE – Ralph E. Bangs, age 78, of Portage died Saturday, June 19, 1993, at divine Savior Hospital in Portage. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 23 at 2 pm at the Pflanz Funeral Home in Portage with the Rev. Carl Carlsen officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Green Lake County. Friends may call on Tuesday, June 22 from 5-8 pm at the Pflanz Funeral Home in Portage. Ralph Bangs was born on August 10, 1914, in Dalton, Wis., the son of Algernon and Minnie (Loveland) Bangs. He is survived by three daughters, Sharon Pollitt of Wisconsin Dells, Susane Frazer of Milwaukee and Barbara (David) Hagen of Wisconsin Dells; his fiancée, Ruth Wahl of Portage; a sister, Katheryn Schroeder of Portage; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; other near relatives and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Ted, Lynn and Jim; and his sister Ruth. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Bang's name.
