Floyd Adkins of Highland, a native of West Virginia, lived in Highland for 62 years, died of cancer at home Wednesday at the age of 71. He was a retired conductor with Santa Fe Railway. He was a member of the San Bernardino Elks Lodge No. 836, Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Ethel, a son, Richard of Hayford, a stepdaughter, Diane Woertink of Willits, and three grandchildren. Service will be at 1 p.m., Monday at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at Montecito Memorial Park.
