J. Paul Williams, age 89 of Indianapolis, died Wednesday, February 20, 2013 surrounded by his family at his residence after a brief illness. He was born December 19, 1923 in Fort Branch, Indiana the son of Asa and Emma (McIntire) Williams. He retired in 1987 from Cam-Or Corporation in Indianapolis where he worked as an Accountant, Auditor, and Controller for many years. He had also previously worked for Citizens Gas Corporation in Indianapolis for many years. Paul was a 1941 graduate of Fort Branch High School and later graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington in 1950 with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force from1943 to 1946. Paul married Mary Ann Scott on October 10, 1959. He was a member of the Fort Branch Presbyterian Church and was more recently affiliated with the First Baptist Church in Indianapolis. Paul enjoyed reading. He was a beloved husband to his wife, Mary Ann; and was a hard-working family man and provider for his family.

His family includes his wife of more than 53 years, Mary Ann Williams of Indianapolis; 3 nieces, Rachel (husband Bill) Jones of Raeford NC, Ann (husband Gene) Frohbieter of Houston TX, and Jane (husband Bill) Daniel of Austin TX; sister-in-law, Ruby Scott of Indianapolis; and several great nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Wallace V. (wife Marcia) Williams and Ben M. (wife Marge) Williams.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 25, 2013 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Dr. Frederick Lewis of the First Baptist Church in Indianapolis officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery, and the U.S. Military and Elwood VFW Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.
