The son of Josiah Hamblet and Sarah Butler, he married Polly Wilson 19 Nov 1795 in Dracut, MA. She was the daughter of Joseph Wilson and Abigail Butler of Dracut. She married 2nd, as his 2nd wife, Aaron Grosvenor.
