Henrietta was the daughter of William C Baak and Minnie Schluter. She married Christian Boje on January 14, 1920 in Carroll, IA. They were the parents of Elvira and Norman.

March 23, 1948 - Carroll Times - Funeral services for Mrs. Henrietta M. Boje, who died late yesterday forenoon at the home of her mother, Mrs. W.C. Baak, 320 North Crawford street, will be held Thursday afternoon. Short rites at the Huffman Funeral home at 1:30 will be followed by services at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran church, of which Mrs. Boje was a member.

Rev. Waldemar E. Hinck will officiate. Burial will be in the Carroll cemetery beside her husband, Chris T. Boje, who died March 29, 1924.

Mrs. Boje, who was 53 years old, had lived in Carroll 48 years. She was born Henrietta M. Baak December 4, 1894, at Westside. The family came to Carroll county in 1898, farming in this community before moving to Carroll. Mrs. Boje attended the Carroll schools. She continued to live in Carroll after her marriage which took place January 10, 1920.

Mrs. Boje leaves a daughter, Mrs. Byron Ayres (Elvira), Green Bay, Wis.; a son, Norman C. Boje, Kalamazoo, Mich.; her mother, Mrs. Minna Baak, of Carroll; two brothers: Milo Baak, Carroll, and C.H. Baak, Battle Creek, Mich., and a grand daughter, Linda Lee Boje, Kalamazoo. Other survivors include an uncle, Hans C. Schluter of Carroll. Her father died September 21, 1944.

The body is resting at the funeral home until the time of the rites. Mr. and Mrs. Ayres and Norman Boje arrived here last night. Mrs. Norman Boje is expected to arrive from Kalamazoo tonight.
