Betty Carter age 85 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, May 06, 2015 at Cumberland Valley Manor. Betty was born on June 30, 1929 in Cumberland County, Kentucky to the late Johnny Harrison Anderson and Sally Claywell Anderson. She was a member of Highland Chapel United Methodist Church, and a former employee of the Cumberland County School System. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Carter in 1991, seven siblings, Roy Anderson, Clara Claywell, Mary Claywell, Vicie Carter, Johnny Anderson, Willard Anderson, Lois Smith.

Her Husband- Lonnie Carter of Burkesville, KY Two Daughters- Peggy Branham and her husband Earl of Marrowbone, KY, and Karen Melton and her husband George of Burkesville, KY Two Sons- Johnny Carter and his wife Diane of Marrowbone, KY and David Carter and his wife Debbie of Marrowbone, KY One Brother- William Anderson and his wife Mary Lee of Burkesville, KY One Sister- Helen Norris and her husband Hylen of Burkesville, KY Three Step Children- Melinda Gabbard and her husband Gary of Louisville, KY, Sheila Carter of Lebanon Junction, KY, and Doug Carter and his wife Jackie of Louisville, KY Five Grandchildren- Vickie Branham O'Connor and her husband Brian, Chris Carter and his wife Marla, Allison Carter Davidson and her husband Stevie, Nick Carter, and Erin Melton Four Great Grandchildren- Jordan Carter, Joel Carter, Katie Thacker, Tucker Goad.
1 Great Great Grandchild- Koleton Christopher Carter and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.

Saturday, May 09, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 North Main Street, Burkesville, KY with Rev. R. Thomas Wilson and Bro. Barry Davis officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery. Family requests visitation Friday, May 08, 2015 from 4:00 P.M. until 9 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home
