Kate Landrum Akins, 97, of Bell passed away on February 18, 2013, at Ayers Health and Rehabilitation Center in Trenton. Kate was born on March 6, 1915, in Suwannee County to Lee Landrum and Mollie Hunt Landrum. She was the eleventh child out of twelve.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Akins, her son, and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Ruth Akins; her daughter, Betty McManus; her grandson, Russell Akins; and all of her siblings.
She is survived by her daughter, Jean Akins Scott, of Trenton; seven grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 21st, at 11:00 a.m., at Bethel Church of Christ in Bell. Arrangements are under the care of Watson Funeral Home in Trenton.
